Are you within Turkana County or any of the marginalized areas biting your nails about how to be cleared from CRB and you can’t travel to Lodwar or your headquarters to access Huduma Center services? Or one of the guys who have tried severally to hit into your mpesa menu >loans and savings and tried borrowing a soft loan or quick money from either m-shwari or kcb bank and you get this annoying message that you do not qualify for a loan? Or you are one of the guys in dire need of capital to start a business and after rushing to your bank you get that disappointing feedback from the credits’ desk dude that you do not qualify for a loan because of a negative CRB listing that you should clear first with the lender? Or finally, you are a postgraduate with a pending loan taken during campus life and now you need a clean sheet of a report? Okay, if you are one of them you are in the right place. You will find this article helpful as far as CRB clearance is concerned.

Nowadays employers and government institutions expect their prospective employees to have a clean sheet on credit listing not forgetting the banks and Saccos that prefer lending their money to people they can trust.

To start, CRB is an abbreviation for Credit Reference Bureau, an agency responsible in providing Clearance or unlisting a “blacklisted” customer. In this case, the blacklisted customer is an individual with a negative credit report implying that he/she is a defaulter or has an active Loan account. Therefore, if you happen to be a CRB victim, first you have to identify the lender that listed you to the bureau > Pay the loan to the lender and you are as good as to go for your Credit Clearance Certificate from either of the major corporations accredited by the Central Bank of Kenya:
